Organic Spray Tan in Santa Cruz: What Bronze Organics Is and Who Chooses It
What is actually in Bronze Organics, the color it gives, who chooses it, and how to prepare and rinse.

Santa Cruz is a place where people read the back of the bottle before they buy it, so it is no surprise that the question I hear most about Bronze Organics is simply what is in it. The honest answer is more interesting than a list of buzzwords, and it starts with what a spray tan actually is.
What is in Bronze Organics
The formula is built on a warm golden-brown cosmetic bronzer, organic ingredients and pure botanicals, with hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, C and E in the base and 13 percent DHA doing the actual tanning.
The color: a warm golden-brown bronzer that guides the application and gives skin some immediate color.
The tan: DHA, made by fermenting plant-derived glycerin, which is how most sunless tanners get theirs. It reacts with amino acids in the outermost layer of skin, where very little of it travels any further.
The base: hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, C and E, which are common in skincare because of how they leave skin feeling hydrated and soft.
What it looks like on skin
The bronzer gives tired or ashy skin some color the moment it goes on, so you leave the studio already looking tanned. After your rinse at 8 to 12 hours, the real color keeps developing for about 24 hours into a soft, natural golden brown that clients describe as looking like a good week somewhere sunny rather than a product.
No two clients leave with the same color, because no two walk in with the same skin.

Who tends to choose it
Clients who care about what goes on their skin choose it often, and so do brides who want a soft, luminous result in photographs rather than a dramatic one. Bronze Organics is one of the two formulas in the $219 Bridal Package, alongside Rapid Development.
I do not assign formulas by category, though. I look at your skin in the studio light and talk through the depth you want, and if you change your mind once you are in the room, you can switch formulas at the appointment and I adjust the charge.
How it differs from the other formulas
Rapid Development: a violet-based bronzer for a cool, even color, rinsed at 2, 4 or 6 hours.
Unity NR: a neutral deep-brown bronzer that suits any undertone, also rinsed at 2, 4 or 6 hours.
Classic Bronze: a reddish-brown bronzer that reads as a sun-warmed classic, rinsed at 8 to 12 hours.
Ultra Dark: two coats for deep color, popular with competitors, dancers and stage performers.

What organic does and does not promise
Organic here means the ingredient list includes organic and botanical components, and that is all I claim for it. A spray tan is a cosmetic color for the outermost layer of your skin, and I will not tell you any spray tan is a treatment for anything.
Preparing and rinsing
The advice for every formula applies here: use a gentle exfoliating glove in the shower daily, including the day of your appointment, drink plenty of water, moisturize, wear sunscreen and avoid tan lines, then arrive with clean, dry skin and no lotion, oil or deodorant. None of that is a condition of booking, but skipping it can affect how the tan looks and how long it lasts, and I will tell you so plainly if it comes up.
Your first rinse is water only, at 8 to 12 hours. Everything that comes after is in the aftercare guide, and the Bronze Protocol goes deeper on how a tan develops.
