What we collect
What you share, and what your browser shares
- Contact details
- Your first and last name, email address and phone number, from the booking, contact, community and guide forms.
- Bookings
- The services, dates and times you choose, your package and visit history, and notes that help Jana prepare for your appointment.
- Your intake form
- Your skin profile, any health notes you choose to share so that a tan suits you, your formula preferences, your acknowledgment of preparation and aftercare, and your signature.
- Free guides
- Your name, email address, the dates you enter and your answers, used to fill in your personal guide and plan your tans.
- Purchases and gift cards
- What you buy, your billing details and, if you ask for shipping, your address; for a gift card, the name and email you give for the person receiving it. Card payments are handled by Wix Payments and its partners, and the studio never sees or stores your full card number.
- Messages
- What you write through the contact and community forms, by email, by text or by phone, including the date of an event if you share one.
- Collected automatically
- Your browser shares standard information, such as your device and browser type, general location, the pages you view and how you arrived. Cookies and similar tools collect this.
How we use it
Only to serve you well
- Appointments
- To book, confirm and manage your appointments and packages, and to prepare a tan that suits your skin.
- Service messages
- Confirmations, preparation reminders, aftercare and changes to your booking, by email and by text.
- Payments and records
- To process payments, gift cards and orders, and to keep the records the law requires.
- Letters from the studio
- Occasional studio news and seasonal advice by email, only if you sign up. Every letter carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Measurement and ads
- To understand how the site is used, and to show deSoleil ads to people who may be interested.
- Your health notes
- Notes on your intake form are used only to give you a safe, suitable tan. They are never used for advertising, never shared with advertising partners, and are seen only by the studio and the service that stores them. The Meta advertising pixel does not load on the Sunless by Necessity guide.

- Hosts the deSoleil guide sites and the small service that personalizes your free guides.
- Never sold
- These companies handle information under their own privacy policies. deSoleil does not sell your name, contact details or health information to anyone.
Cookies and your choices
You stay in control
- Cookies
- Small files your browser keeps so a site can remember you. They keep booking and checkout working, show which pages help visitors most and, through Google and Meta, measure ads and show deSoleil ads to people who have visited. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, though booking and checkout may not work as smoothly, and adjust ad personalization in your Google and Meta accounts. The site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
- Emails
- Use the one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom of any letter from the studio.
- Texts
- Reply STOP to stop studio news by text, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Appointment messages continue while you have a booking unless you ask us to stop them.
- A copy, a correction or deletion
- To see, correct or delete the information the studio holds about you, email info@desoleiltan.com or call or text (831) 479-8266. You will have a reply within 30 days. Some records, such as payment records, are kept where the law requires.
Keeping it safe
How long, and how it is protected
- How long
- Your information is kept for as long as it is needed to serve you, and business records, such as payment and tax records, for as long as the law requires. Ask at any time to have your record deleted.
- Protection
- Industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards protect your information, and only the studio can see your client record. No system is perfectly secure, so please let us know right away if you think your information has been misused.
- Children
- This site is not meant for children under 13, and the studio does not knowingly collect their information online. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
- Changes
- When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. If a change affects how your information is shared, you will hear about it by email first.
