Wedding Spray Tan Timing: When to Book Your Trial and Final Tan
Book a trial at least two weeks out and the final tan two to three days before the wedding, never the night before.

A wedding weekend in Santa Cruz is a stack of obligations laid end to end: a rehearsal dinner the night before, hair and makeup by nine, and a ceremony in the kind of low light that makes everything on the cliffs look like an advertisement for the place. A spray tan is one of the few details on that list you can get exactly right ahead of time, and the whole job is timing.
Two appointments, not one
The trial, at least two weeks before the wedding. The tan has time to fade fully, so you can see the color in your own mirror, at your dress fitting and in late light, and I have time to refine anything before it matters.
The final tan, two to three days before the ceremony. The rinse is far behind you, the color has settled, and nothing but the tan goes into your photographs.
Events before the wedding, one to two days ahead of each. Engagement photos, showers and the bachelorette each get their own appointment on the same logic.
The final tan belongs two to three days before the ceremony, never the night before.
Why two to three days works
Every formula takes about twenty-four hours to develop. Rapid Development and Unity NR rinse at 2, 4 or 6 hours, and Bronze Organics, Classic Bronze and Ultra Dark rinse at 8 to 12 hours. Booking two to three days out means all of that is finished with time to spare, so on the wedding day your color reads as one settled tone across face, neck, chest, arms and hands rather than something still in motion.
It also leaves room to adjust. If a little dryness or an uneven patch shows itself, there is time for hydration and a quiet fix, without anyone panicking.
Why the night before is the riskiest choice
The night-before appointment is tempting, but it squeezes the entire settling period into the busiest evening of your schedule. The color is still developing while you hug relatives, change clothes and sweat, and tight fabric against a tan that has not finished developing is how friction marks happen, even when the color itself turns out beautifully.
Why much earlier can backfire
A spray tan fades gradually over its 7 to 14 days, so the earlier you book, the more of that fade you wear to the ceremony. Weddings are long, with rehearsals, travel, hair and makeup and hours in a dress, and two to three days puts you at your most even for all of it.
Your preparation and your calendar
Preparation is advice, not a condition of booking, though skipping it can affect your result.
Glove daily, gently, including the day of the appointment, and drink plenty of water.
Moisturize and wear sunscreen, and tell me about your neckline and straps so we plan around tan lines.
Arrive clean and dry, with no lotion, oil or deodorant.
Plan around heat. A sauna, a steam room or a hot yoga class in the first 24 hours speeds development, so keep them out of that window.
The Bridal Package
The Bridal Package is $219 for three spray tans in Bronze Organics or Rapid Development plus one Normalize Treatment, valid for twelve months and usable for any occasion. That covers the trial and the final tan with one left over for the honeymoon, and the bridal planner works out your exact dates from your wedding day.
